Frances C. Baker's Obituary
Frances C. Baker, age 71, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 5:44 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL. Frances was born on March 6, 1944 in New Lexington, OH, a daughter to Russell Thomas and Ines Marie (Brown) Filkins. On May 12, 1984, she married Bernard L. Baker in Carbondale, IL and he survives. She was a homemaker and had worked at Bridal Originals, Carbondale, IL and Brown Shoe Factory, Murphysboro, IL. She was a member of and actively involved with the Women of the Moose, Centralia, IL and she enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Texas. Survivors include her husband, Bernard L. Baker of Pinckneyville, IL; a daughter, Ginger Wright (fiancé, Adlai Chapman) of Pinckneyville, IL; two brothers, Robert Filkins of Zanesville, OH and Thomas (Connie) Filkins of Houston, TX; a sister, Lucille Martindale of Zanesville, OH; three grandchildren, Jessica, Joseph and Jaeclyn; and several step-children, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Emmitt Filkins; and a sister, Ruth Lucas-Wycinski. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Robert Filkins officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday morning at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Mooseheart Child City.
