Forrest "Frosty" Dunmyer, Jr.'s Obituary
Forrest "Frosty" Dunmyer, Jr., age 59, of DuQuoin, IL passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, IL. Frosty was born October 12, 1952 in Mineral Wells, TX, a son to Forrest and Hilda Louise (Tilley) Dunmyer, Sr. He married Mary Phillips on June 30, 1973 in DuQuoin, IL. Frosty was a member of Gospel Assembly Church of DuQuoin, IL. Frosty had retired from Continental General Tire of Mt. Vernon, IL. were he worked as a trucker. He was an avid horse trader and enjoyed restoring his 1965 Chevelle, but he dearly loved spending time with his family, especially with his six granddaughters. Frosty will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Frosty is survived by his wife, Mary Dunmyer of DuQuoin, IL; parents, Forrest and Hilda Louise Dunmyer, Sr. of DuQuoin, IL; three children, Niki (Larry) Alvarado of DuQuoin, IL, Shane (Teresa) Dunmyer of Mahomet, IL and Kati Dunmyer of DuQuoin, IL; two sisters and one brother, Christy (Kim) Carter, Johnny (Rita) Dunmyer and Teddy (Rick) Taylor, all of DuQuoin, IL; six granddaughters, Gabrielle Alvarado, Abigel Alvarado, Lily Alvarado, all of DuQuoin, IL, Jordan Faison of Carbondale, IL, Terrisa Nevin and Ceirra Nevin, both of Mahomet, IL; mother-in-law, Jean Phillips of DuQuoin, IL and many dear nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Hershel Phillips. Funeral services will be held at Gospel Assembly Church, DuQuoin, IL on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Dennis Fitzsimmons and Brother Gaylen Holden officiating. Interment will be in Old DuQuoin Cemetery, DuQuoin, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday at Gospel Assembly Church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
