F. William "Bill" Kroener's Obituary
F. William "Bill" Kroener, age 91, of Oakdale, IL, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 7:20 p.m. in Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville, IL. Bill was born on February 18, 1921 in Oakdale, IL, a son to Herman E. and Sarah Ella (Duguid) Kroener. He was a member of Oakdale United Presbyterian Church, Oakdale, IL, where he served as a commissioner to the Presbytery, Synod and held several offices within the Presbyterian Church. Bill was self employed as a welder, farmer, carpenter, and blacksmith. He enjoyed singing in the church choir and the Sparta Community Chorus and loved to read, go mushroom hunting, and taking long walks in the woods. Bill is survived by one brother, John (JoAnn) Kroener of Murphysboro, IL; three nephews, John Scott (Jane) Kroener of San Diego, CA, Steven William (Stephanie) Kroener of Wildwood, MO and Paul David (Vicki) Kroener of Oakdale, IL; three nieces, Lisa Ann Kroener of Memphis, TN, Sherrie Ann Kroener of Oakdale, IL and Lynn Rochelle (Allen) Welling of Brighton, IL; a sister-in-law, Mildred Kroener of Oakdale, IL and twelve great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Anna Louise Kroener and a brother, David Duguid Kroener. Funeral service will be held at Oakdale United Presbyterian Church, Oakdale, IL on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend John Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Oakdale, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Oakdale, IL on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Coulterville Care Center or Oakdale United Presbyterian Church. Pyatt Funeral Home, Oakdale, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
