Everett Haner, Jr.'s Obituary
Everett Haner, Jr., age 85, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 5:30 a.m. in his home. Everett was born on October 14, 1929 in DuQuoin, IL, a son to Everett and Thelma (Fullerton) Haner, Sr. On August 20, 1953, he married Ruth Goldman in Marion, IL and she survives. Everett was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp, proudly serving his country during the Korean War. He worked in maintenance and janitorial and drove a school bus part-time for the DuQuoin School District, DuQuoin, IL, retiring after 25 years. Everett dearly loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Haner of DuQuoin, IL; a son, David (Christina) Haner of DuQuoin, IL; daughter, Jodi Bible of Cobden, IL; one brother, Lyle (Antoinette) Haner of DuQuoin, IL; one niece, Kimbra Schafer of Elkville, IL; five grandchildren, Kody Greenwood of DuQuoin, IL, Klay Greenwood of Cobden, IL, Noah Bible of Cobden, IL, Kristina Benson of DuQuoin, IL and Jamie Shaffer of McDonough, GA; and five great-grandchildren, Garrick Blevins of DuQuoin, Emerson Benson of DuQuoin, IL and Teague, Keene and Wynn Shaffer of McDonough, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gerald Dale Haner. A private family service will be held at a later date. Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
