Eunice Faye Schrader's Obituary
Eunice Faye Schrader, age 90, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11:06 a.m., in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Eunice was born on November 13, 1934, in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Adolph August and Anna Elizabeth (Meyer) Yung. On September 8, 1956, she married Harold Paul Schrader at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pinckneyville and after 51 years of marriage he preceded her in death on March 6, 2008. Eunice was a secretary for the Perry County Farm Bureau, Regional Superintendent of Schools, St. Paul United Church of Christ, as well as a member there, and a cook at Pinckneyville Community High School. Eunice was in the Women’s Guild and very active in her church. She loved doing embroidery, word searches, and watching game shows. Eunice was part of the Pinckneyville Panther Booster Club and enjoyed basketball, softball, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals play. It brought her great joy to watch her grandkids, and great grandkids play sports and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Gayle (Lanny) Lansden of WV; daughter-in-law, Cindy Konkel of Coulterville, IL; one sister, Georgia (William T. “Bill”) Schrader; four grandchildren, Kevin (Angie) Schrader of Coulterville, IL, Natalie (Dan) Stine of Farina, IL, Tyler (Brenna) Lansden of WV, and Jill (Sam) Ashley of WV; and eight great-grandchildren, David Stine, Wyatt Stine, Lane Stine, Brody Schrader, Will Lansden, Libby Lansden, Faye Ashley, and Harold “Hal” Ashley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Randy Schrader; one sister, Mabel C. Woodside; and one sister in infancy.
A funeral service will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., with Reverend Jason Eisele officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Visitation will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL, on Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to PCHS Athletic Booster Club.
