Had the pleasure of seeing Mrs. Ritter over the years at Alongi's., what a wonderful life!
Mrs. Ritter was my first grade teacher and I loved her. She made such an impact on my life that whenever I have a security question that asks, "Who was your favorite teacher?" my response is always; Mrs. Ritter. My tribute to an exceptional and outstanding woman. She will greatly be missed by all her former students and the Pinckneyville community. My love and prayers to the family.
Mrs. Ritter is a National Treasure! She was my first grade teacher & all my sibling's teacher. I can still hear her voice. She came to my older sister's funeral - and this tiny woman somehow comforted my entire family. I have no words to express how meaningful this was. She could have told us all to get in line! She had an exemplary life.
Dr. Ritter and Dr. Douglas, I lovingly send my condolences to you and your family for the loss of your beloved mother and mother-in-law. I hope you find comfort in all the memories that you hold so near and dear in your heart. From the things I remember you saying about Mrs. Ritter over the years, it sounds like she was an exceptional woman. May God Bless you and your family.
I am very sorry for your loss. I heard many stories of Eunice growing up from my Great Grandmother Maurcella (Ritter) Terry and I know my Grandfather Kenneth Terry Sr worked at your fathers coal mine. I enjoyed hearing stories about all there family & the past. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Mrs. Ritter was truly a treasure. She was such a sweet lady and gave so much to so many. She was a wonderful neighbor, always letting all of the children (and adults) go sledding down her hill. She will definitely be missed. Her family is in our thoughts and prayers.
I loved Mrs. Ritter! She was my 1st grade teacher at Pinckneyville Grade School. I remember her gentle voice, and that she let me stay in at recess to help a fellow student practice reading. My sympathies to Melody and the rest of her family.
Wishing to express my deepest sympathy on your loss. She was my First grade teacher and my favorite teacher! I'm sure there are lots and lots of her former students who will say the same! She had a very unique ability to make each one of her students feel extra special.
Please accept our condolences on your mother's passing. Saying good bye is never easy. Take comfort in your memories and the knowledge you will be together again. May she rest in peace.
Many good memories of Mrs. Ritter from grade school and First Baptist Church. My condolences to the family.
