Euclid W. Brostmeyer's Obituary
Euclid W. Brostmeyer, age 85, of Tamaroa, IL, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 7:20 a.m. in his home. Euclid was born on November 11, 1928 in Pinckneyville, IL a son to William and Emma (Feltmeyer) Brostmeyer. On March 16, 1957, he married Betty Mohr in St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL and she survives. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Euclid was a member of the Farm Bureau and American Legion. He enjoyed dairy farming, fishing, and NASCAR. Euclid was an advocate for natural medicines and loved spending time with his family Survivors include his wife, Betty Brostmeyer of Tamaroa, IL, two children, Bill (Melissa) Brostmeyer of Tamaroa, IL and Carol (Don) LePere of Ava, IL; four grandchildren, Annette Brostmeyer, Amber Brostmeyer, Willie LePere amd Blaine LePere; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Norman "Tex" Brostmeyer of Nashville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; and granddaughter, Amanda Brostmeyer. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Cindy Bean officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Military graveside services will be provided by Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post#2504, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ or American Red Cross.
