Ervin C. Schwarz's Obituary
Ervin C. Schwarz, age 81, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 1:34 p.m. in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Carbondale, IL. Ervin was born on November 11, 1930 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Louis G. and Emily C. (Mayer) Schwarz. On May 24, 1952, he married Ruby P. Rigdon in Lompoc, CA and she preceded him in death on August 2, 1997. Ervin was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during the Korean War. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, was a truck driver for Keene Road Builders, Pinckneyville, IL for 25 years and was a lifelong farmer. Ervin was a member of the Teamsters Union and loved farming Ervin is survived by three sons, Steve Schwarz, Rick Schwarz, and Bruce(Margie) Schwarz ; a daughter, Debra Chapman all of Pinckneyville, IL; one brother, Bill (Shirley) Schwarz of Pinckneyville, IL; four sisters, Leona Hagene, Alma (Ervin) Lee all of Belleville, IL, Norma Neimeyer and Velma (Buddy) Jones all of Pinckneyville, IL; six grandchildren, Mariah Chapman, Evan Chapman, Tyler Schwarz, Trevor Schwarz, Trenton Schwarz, and Travis Schwarz; and several dear nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Funeral services will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Graveside military rites will be provided by Presswood Daffron American Legion Post #2504, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Oak Grove Baptist Church Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
