Ervin J. Lee's Obituary
Ervin J. Lee, age 79, of Belleville, IL, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 2:27 p.m. in Marshall Browning Hospital Emergency Room, DuQuoin, IL. Ervin was born on November 13, 1934 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Ervin and Caroline (Morganthaler) Lee. On September 14, 1955, he married Alma Schwarz in Joliet, IL and they celebrated 58 wonderful years of marriage. His wife survives. Ervin was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was employed by the United States Postal Service for 25 years and Ehret Heating and Cooling for 10 years. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Alma Lee of Belleville, IL; brother-in law, Bill (Shirley) Schwarz of Pinckneyville, IL; four sisters-in-law, Leona Hagene of Belleville, IL, Norma Niemeyer of Pinckneyville, IL, Velma (Bud) Jones of Pinckneyville and Pauline Finley of Pinckneyville, IL and numerous nieces; nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wilbur Lee and Herbert Lee. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Tim McIntyre officiating. Interment will be in Lost Prairie Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Military graveside rites will be provided by Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post #2504, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or Lost Prairie Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
