Erla L. Heisner's Obituary
Erla L. Heisner, age 89, of Pinckneyville, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2007 at 8:05 a.m. in Sparta Community Hospital. Erla was born on July 11, 1917 in Pinckneyville, a daughter to Shelvy and Allie (Cottom) Bigham. She married Williams A. Heisner on July 5, 1947 in Jackson, MS and he preceded her in death on February 28, 2006. She worked for years at the Pinckneyville Garment Factory. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, the Eastern Star, and the Golden Threads, and she dearly loved her church, family and friends. Survivors include her nieces and nephews: Larry and Lesslie Bigham of Paducah, KY, Diane and Douglas Zacheis of Oakdale, and Janet and Dean Wisely of Oakdale, one sister-in-law: Virginia Bigham of Pinckneyville, dear friends: Larry and Marsha Hagene of Pinckneyville, great nieces and nephews: Dylan, Clark and Brandon Wisely, Alexa and Allison Zacheis, Daniel Bigham, and Julie and Jesse Kidd and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother: Howard Bigham, and an infant sister. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with Brother Rick Hatley officiating. Interment will be in Galum Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and then on Wednesday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. till 9:00 a.m. then at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
