Emily Marie "Emmy" Lively's Obituary
Emily Marie "Emmy" Lively of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 7:20 a.m. in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Marion, IL. Emmy was born on October 14, 1962 in Appleton City, MO, a daughter to William J. and Nora L. (Hood) Lively. She was a proud veteran of the United States Army and National Guard from July 24, 1980 to November 19, 2005 proudly serving her country on two tours overseas including Iraqi Freedom. Emmy was of the Methodist faith, worked as a corrections officer and was a member of V.F.W. Posts in Belleville, Michigan and Coulterville, Illinois. She enjoyed fishing, barbecuing and playing bingo. Survivors include her mother, Nora Lively of Sparta, IL; a brother, Bill A. (Vicki) Lively of Eldorado, IL; three sisters, Brenda K. (Joseph) O'Donnell of Glen Ellyn, IL, Cinda M. Lively of Sparta, IL and Melissa S. (Gabe) Poppie of Chicago, IL; seven nieces and nephews, Christy (Neil) Haynes, Autumn (Clint) Hooper, Joseph C. O'Donnell, Billy O'Donnell, Jessica Lively, Jason Lively and Beckett Poppie: five great nieces and nephews, Coleman Haynes, Faith Hooper, Jaxson Hooper, Jackson Lively and Jocelyn Lively; aunt and uncles, Judy and Lonnie Coke, Pearl Lively and Lois and Dale Heggemeier; spouse and two special daughters, Shannon and Cheyenne. She was preceded in death by her father and two uncles, Larry Hood and Richard P. Hood Jr. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Sparta, IL. Graveside military service will be provided by Coulterville V.F.W. Post #6865 Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Coulterville Public Library or Fairview Cemetery, Sparta, IL.
