Edward Jack "Ed" DeFord's Obituary
Edward Jack "Ed" DeFord, age 40, of Pinckneyville, Il, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 1:06 a.m. in his home. Ed was born on September 10, 1972 in Canton, IL, a son of Jackie "Jack" and Janet C. (Harr) DeFord. On September 10, 2001, he married Lisa Randolph in Pinckneyville, IL and she survives. Ed was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL and had worked as a sanitation engineer for Sam Lloyd, CWI and was self employed. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Perry County Coon Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. Ed loved being a father and spending time with his sons and family. Survivors include his wife, Lisa DeFord; two sons, Cole Douglas DeFord and Hunter Jack DeFord; mother, Janet DeFord all of Pinckneyville, IL; grandmother, Florence Harr of DuQuoin, IL; one brother, Greg (Missie) DeFord of Pinckneyville, IL; two sisters, Shari (George) Elder of Tamaroa, IL and Becki (Jeff) Tucker of Pinckneyville, IL; five nieces and one nephew, Ambrielle DeFord, Kiera DeFord, Jena Elder, Levi Tucker and Mya Tucker; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Tim Bauersachs officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Cole and Hunter DeFord Educational Fund.
