Edna M Miller's Obituary
Edna M. Miller, age 98, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 5:20 p.m. at her daughters home in Vergennes, IL. Edna was born on August 30, 1918 in Perry County, a daughter to Palmer and Helen (Kujawa) Cheek. On January 21, 1938, she married Clarence A. Miller in Nashville, IL and he preceded her in death on January 26, 1994. Edna was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. She enjoyed playing golf and cards, loved working in her yard and flowers and was an avid bowler. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon (Charles) Anderson of Vergennes, IL; two grandchildren, Kimberly (John) Anderson-Watkins of New York, NY and Greg (Gretchen) Anderson of Ashburn, VA; two great-grandchildren Jordan and Evan Anderson of Ashburn, VA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; one brother, Edgar "Bud" Cheek; and one sister, Melvina Duvardo. Graveside memorial services will be held at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Angie Kaye Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation or American Cancer Society.
