Edgar Morton Hanock's Obituary
Edgar Morton Hanock, age 85, of Fenton, MO, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL, died Sunday, April 9, 2006 in Des Peres Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Edgar was born in Perry County, IL on January 28, 1921, a son of Joseph and Marie (Vaculik) Hanock. He married Mildred Bernice Caldwell on September 6, 1941 in St. Louis and she survives. He was a retired printer with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, was a member of the Local #8 ITT Union, was very active in a lot of public activities, a charter member and officer of Frieden's Chapel United Church of Christ, a charter member and officer of Surrey Lane Athletic Association, and a former member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and Consistory. Other survivors include three sons: Robert E. Hanock (Jackie Schaeffer) of Chandler, AZ, Donald M. Hanock (Carol Meyer) of House Springs, MO, David A. Hanock (Cheryl Guinn) of St. Louis, MO, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters. Friends may call at the Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois, St. Louis, MO 63123 on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 from 3:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 205 East Jackson Street, Pinckneyville, IL 62274 on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Cynthia Bean officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville.
