Earl Hubler's Obituary
Earl Hubler, age 90, of Swanwick, IL, passed away July 29, 2007 at 6:30 a.m. at the Pinckneyville Heath Care. Earl was born on August 31, 1916 in Perry County, IL, a son to Alva and Mary (Woodside) Hubler. On April 23, 1945, he married Vada (Pichora) Hubler in Ducain, PA, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 7, 2006. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance Workers, and retired from Illinois Central Railroad after 45 years of service as a tamp machine operator. Survivors include two daughters: Lorraine (Robert) George of Alden, IA, and Evelyn (Blanie) Heiman of Swanwick, one brother: Raymond (Grace) Hubler of Swanwick, one sister-in-law: Madeline Hubler of Swanwick, four grandchildren: Michael(Debra) Heiman of Swanwick, Lt. Col. Randy (Patty) George of Portsmouth, RI, Angela (Tom) Williams of Alden, IA, and Carol (Tim) Long of Iowa Falls, IA, ten great-grandchildren and a very special niece: Zella (Jim) Kuhnert and their daughters of Swanwick. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Vada Hubler, one brother: Clifford "Deik" Hubler, one sister: Lyda Bella Holtz, and one infant brother. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Coulterville on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Tim McIntyre officiating. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick. Friends may call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Coulterville on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
