Dwight E. Hartman Sr.'s Obituary
Dwight E. Hartman Sr., age 64, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in his home. Dwight was born on March 24, 1952 in Summersville, MO, a son to Royce and Bea (Cross) Hartman. On July 10, 1971, he married Judy Ann Cochran in St. Louis, MO and she preceded him in death on February 13, 2008. Dwight retired from the Perry County Housing Authority after 32 years. He was of Catholic faith, a charter member of the Moose and Eagles Clubs, and a collector of many things especially coins. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, was an avid outdoorsman, and loved spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his mother, Bea Wideman of St. Louis, MO; one son, Dwight Hartman Jr. of Pinckneyville, IL; one daughter, Sarah Hutchings (Josh Ramsey) of Pekin, IL; companion, Janet Beetley of Pinckneyville, IL; three brothers, Charles (Vicki) Hartman of Cadet, MO, John Hartman (Bernadine Morton) of Pinckneyville, IL and Nathanial Hartman of St. Louis MO; three sisters, Joy (Robert) Scurlock of Hillsboro, IL, Carla (Vance) Celeslie of St. Louis, MO and Tammy (Adam) Price of Richmond, VA; one grandchild, Taylor (Jacob) Kringer of Pinckneyville, IL; one great-grandchild, Judy Rose Kringer; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and his dogs, Buddy and Sissy. He was preceded in death by his father, Royce; wife, Judy; step-father, Lawson Wideman; and one sister, Delores Hobbs. Funeral Service will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Jim Barnett officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Judy Rose Kringer for college school fund.
