Dwight Hartman, Jr.'s Obituary
Dwight Hartman, Jr., age 50, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. in Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon, IL.
Dwight was born on January 16, 1972 in St. Louis, MO, a son to Dwight Sr. and Judy (Cochran) Hartman. He started working at the young age of fifteen. Dwight worked very hard from that point forward. He earned the nickname "Derail" during his long career working on the railroad. Dwight was a member of the Pinckneyville Moose Lodge #930, Pinckneyville Eagles Lodge, and A.B.A.T.E. His true passion in life was Harley-Davidson motorcycles, ATVs, and hotrods. There wasn't a thing he couldn't take apart and rebuild. Dwight was so proud of his daughter and four beautiful granddaughters.
Survivors include his friend and former spouse, Cheryl Schubert of Tamaroa, IL; one daughter, Taylor (Jacob) Kringer of Pinckneyville, IL; one sister, Sarah (Josh) Ramsey of Dahinda, IL; four grandchildren, Judy Rose, Thelma Marie, Mabel Grace, and Mildred Pearl; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, one uncle, and three aunts.
A celebration of life will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ivan Plemmons officiating.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Kringer Education Fund for his granddaughters.
