Dorothy Jean Winter's Obituary
Dorothy Jean Winter, age 89, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 9:14 p.m. in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pinckneyville, IL.
Dorothy was born on February 20, 1932 in Denmark, IL, the daughter to Lawrence and Eva (Tessier) Egbert. Dorothy was a member of Denmark Baptist Church, Denmark, IL and had worked at Nascote, Industries, Nashville, IL. She was a Nascar and country music fan and had served as a delegate for the Women's Coal Miner Association. Dorothy loved animals especially cats but her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her two sons, Ray (Cindy) Winter of Pinckneyville, IL and Gary (Audra) Winter of Pinckneyville, IL; two daughters, Merla (Chuck) McKinnies of DuQuoin, IL and Linda (David) Gross of Pinckneyville, IL; nine grandchildren, Amanda (Josh) Huite, Ashley (Nathan) Hughey, Austin (Becky) Winter, Chuck McKinnies, Rick (Jennifer) McKinnies, Joshua (Lisa) Gross, Caitlin (Kyle) Pursell, Shea (Terry) Campanella and Erin Gross; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Private family services will be held with interment in Sunset Memorial Park, DuQuoin, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to Denmark Baptist Church, Denmark, IL.
