Dorothy "Arlene" Marlow, age 86, of Pinckneyville passed away on Friday, January 11, 2008 at Friendship Manor, Nashville, IL. Arlene was born on September 23, 1921 in Perry County, IL, a daughter to Harlan R. and Phoebe K. (Houghland) Fisher. On June 17, 1939, she married William Clarence Marlow in Perryville, MO, of this union were born three children. Clarence preceded her in death on June 21, 1969. She had worked as a secretary at Pinckneyville Block Plant, was a member of First Pentecostal Church, Pinckneyville, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include two sons: Maurice Lynn (Alvina) Marlow of Nashville, IL, and Shelby (Rose) Marlow of Waterloo, IL, one daughter: Sandy Woodside of Pinckneyville, her grandchildren: Gwen (Louis) Bollman, Gina (Larry) Wexler, Kristina Marlow, Michael (Tracy) Marlow, Michelle (Steve) Doebber, Yolanda (Tim) Issler, Andrea (Ryan) Lewis, Tiffany Woodside and Richard Bates, and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son-in-law: Jim Woodside. Funeral Services will be held in Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Kirk Steele officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and then on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services.
