Doris E. Stanton's Obituary
Doris E. Stanton, age 61, of Pinckneyville, was called home by God with family and friends at her side on Saturday, March 03, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at her residence. Doris was born February 7, 1946 in Ramsey, IL, a daughter of Roy and Ruby (Baumgartner) Myers. On August 11, 1962, she married Vern Cline in Ramsey, IL. He survives her. She married Harry Stanton in October, 1985. He survives her. She attended Clarmin Baptist Church in Clarmin, IL. She enjoyed working on the Election Board, and she always collected for the Easter Seals and the American Cancer Society. She was a nurse and loved taking care of her patients in the nursing homes. Survivors include four sons: Albert and Diana Cline of Atlanta, IL, Thomas Cline of Noble, IL, James Farmer of Pinckneyville, IL and Edward Cline of Olney, IL, one daughter: Deborah and John Reeves of Park Hills, MO, three step-daughters: Geniese and Terry Silbe of Pinckneyville, IL, Polly and Galen Grant of Herrin, IL and Harriet and Scott Kimmel of Kittery, ME., seven grandchildren: Jason and Kerri Reeves of Park Hills, MO, George and Patricia Caulk of Murphysboro, IL, Dustin and Rebecca Foster of Olney, IL, Kristin Cline of Noble, IL, Ethan Cline of Lincoln, IL, Jared Cline and Mitch Vance of Atlanta, IL, and four great-grandchildren: Zack, Brooke, Colin and Devon. She was preceded in death by her parents and one step-daughter, Debby Stanton Clarke. A celebration of life will be held at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 12 noon with Rev. Mike Higgerson officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. till the service at Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Clarmin Baptist Church.
