We will always remember Don's warm and jovial greetings poolside at the Royal Haciendas. He was a kind soul and a true friend. Our prayers and condolences go out to Brenda and family. God Bless you all and Don's memory.

We met Don and Brenda while vacationing at the Royal Haciendas in Playa Del Carmen. We immediately discovered we had a lot in common because Lynn lived in Carbondale 5 years while teaching and attending SIU and then she and Jerry lived and worked in Champaign, IL for over 25 years before retiring in Boise, Idaho. Don and Brenda were a warm and friendly couple who shared the same down to eath common sense values. They have many friends at the resort that enjoyed their friendship. The highlight of our last adventure at Royal Haciendas was celebrating Brenda's birthday In November, 2019. Don planned a loving, festive evening at the Los Morales restaurant. Unfortunately, due to life's circumstances we have been unable to be together since. We have fond and happy memories of Don who always demonstrated warmth and kindness to everyone including those at the resort that provided services. He was truly a "Dandy Don" and he will be sorely missed by all.
