Donald Ray Hopp's Obituary
Donald Ray Hopp, age 58, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010 in his home. Donald was born on May 25, 1951 in DuQuoin, IL, a son to Harold and Velma (Bigham) Hopp, Sr. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL, a veteran of the United States Army, and had worked in the warehouse at Walgreens, Mt. Vernon, IL. Donald was a member of American Legion Post #2504, Pinckneyville, IL, enjoyed collecting coins, was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed Dallas Cowboys football. Donald is survived by his brothers and sister, Terry Hopp, of Pinckneyville, IL, Harold Hopp, Jr. of DuQuoin, IL, IL, Kathy (Owen) Oliger of Belle Rive, IL and Joel (Eva) Hopp of Pinckneyville, IL; nieces and nephews, Leah Hopp, Chelsea (Terry) Wells, Jason Hougland, Amber (Paul) Hopp-Schmidt, Mason Hopp, Melissa Dye, Chad (Julie) Griffin and Patrick (Amanda) Oliger; and several great nieces and great nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
