Donald "Donnie" W. Miller's Obituary
Donald "Donnie" W. Miller, age 62, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 10:23 p.m., in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL.
Donnie was born on January 7, 1961 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Kenneth L. and Wanda H. (Nehrkorn) Miller. On May 9, 1987, he married Cheryl Rae Fisher in Pinckneyville, IL and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2012. Donnie worked as a manager for Gilster Mary Lee, a lab worker for Mums, and an Iron Worker. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Donnie enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing with his grandson, hiking, and trail riding. He also liked playing basketball and playing guitar. Donnie planned on teaching his grandchild how to play. He loved his family and friends and would help others anytime he could. Donnie will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his one son, Justin Miller of Pinckneyville, IL; one daughter, Leta (Larry Reams) Miller of Pinckneyville, IL; stepson, Branden Loftis of Farmington, MO; four grandchildren, Thomas (Betty) Miller of Indiana, Christian Miller of Pinckneyville, IL, Curtis Miller of Christopher, IL, and Leila Reams of Pinckneyville, IL; two great-granddaughters; and two dogs, Willy and Boe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cheryl Rae Miller; and one brother, Jimmie Miller.
Funeral services will be at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be at Concord Baptist Cemetery, Rice, IL.
Visitation will be at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
