Dona Kay Hannah's Obituary
Dona Kay Hannah, age 81, of DuQuoin, IL, formerly of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in Marshall Browning Hospital, DuQuoin, IL.
Dona was born on September 30, 1942 in St. Louis, MO, a daughter to Leslie and Mildred J. (Harrison) Reisinger. On August 22, 1958, she married George "Sonny" Hannah at Coulterville United Methodist Church, Coulterville, IL and he survives. She was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church, DuQuoin, IL. Dona enjoyed cooking from scratch, camping and dearly loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, George "Sonny" Hannah of DuQuoin, IL; two daughters, Kathy (Scott) Lickenbrock of Mascoutah, IL and Lesley (Dennis) Hamburger of DuQuoin, IL; a sister, Diana Vuichard of St. Libory, IL; five granddaughters, Mandi (Brian) Huelsmann of O'Fallon, IL, Marci (Don) Coryell of New Braunfels, TX, Melissa (Brent) Frederking of Lively Grove, IL, Hannah (Ryan) Sims of Du Quoin, IL, and Emily (Tanner) Townes of Beaver Damn, KY; six great grandchildren, Abby Huelsmann, Drew Ferguson, Jack Huelsmann, Dylan Coryell, Myra Coryell and Bryndle Frederking; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Brian Hannah; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Vuichard.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., with Brother Gaylen Holden officiating. Interment will be at Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL.
Visitation will be at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
