Diane Marie Brand's Obituary
Diane Marie Brand, age 58, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 2:26 p.m., in Fairview Rehabilitation and Healthcare, DuQuoin, IL.
Diane was born on November 3, 1965 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Herman Theodore and Clara Margaret (Bathon) Brand. Diane was a production laborer for Five Star Industries for over 40 years, beginning in 1983 until the present. She had a great work ethic. Diane loved WWE wrestling and got a chance to sit ring side for a wrestling event in Nashville, TN. Diane was quick witted and enjoyed reminiscing about the past while looking at old family photos. She loved entertaining, especially dancing, listening to country music, and singing karaoke. Diane loved traveling, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and eating Reese's peanut butter cups. Diane's love of traveling inspired a trip on a cruise ship. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Meschelle Brand of Pinckneyville, IL; special cousin and family, Debra (Danny) Harsy of DuQuoin, IL, and their children, Haley, Katey, Kloey; aunt/godmother, Barbara (Carl) Giacomo of Pinckneyville, IL; numerous cousins; and her family and friends at Five Star Industries.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her devoted brother, Roger Brand; paternal grandparents, Henry and Edna Brand; maternal grandparents, Adam and Mary Bathon; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., with Monsignor Thomas Flach officiating. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., at the church. Interment will be in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
A visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Five Star Industries, St. Bruno Catholic School, Cemetery or Church.
