Dennis Edward Partain's Obituary
Dennis Edward Partain, age 70, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 1:39 a.m. in his home surrounded by his loving family. Dennis was born on January 21, 1941 in Hamilton, AL, a son to Joe and Willie Mae (Evans) Partain. He married Bev Demarb and to this union four children were born. Dennis then married Jerry Ann (Harvey) Pair and they have been together for 33 years. He retired as a journeyman machinist 2nd class for Goss International, Rockford, IL and was a water treatment operator for the Village of Coulterville. Dennis was a member of the Sparta Eagles and the 212 Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Dennis is survived by his wife; mother; two sons, Danny Ray (Sandy) Partain of Waterford, WI and Joey Partain of West Minister, CO; four daughters, Sybil Pair (Brian Ebers) of Coulterville, IL, Tammy (Pat) Bush of Thornton, CO, Christina (Jerry) Ethridge of Littleton, CO, and Stephanie (Kent) Rowdy of Rockford, IL; one brother, Phillip (Ann) Partain of Millsport, AL; two sisters, Peggy Kennedy of Rockford, IL and Judy (John) Hawley of Maryville, IL; mother-in-law, Linda Harvey of Coulterville, IL; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father; two sisters, Willie Sue Jackson and Kathy Swinney; one granddaughter, Dawn Partain; one brother-in-law, KB Kennedy; and father-in-law, Orval Harvey. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Jeff Downard officiating. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Jerry Pair and family.
