Delbert Leming's Obituary
Delbert Leming, age 73, of Coulterville, IL passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 24, 2009 in Biloxi, MS. Delbert was born on March 12, 1936 in Perry County, IL a son to Lester and Lena (Montgomery) Leming. He was previously married to Russlyn Miles and she survives. He had also been married to Shirley Washner and she preceded him in death. Delbert was of the Protestant faith. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1954 to 1957, a Sprinkler Fitter for Union Local 669, and was a farmer. Delbert was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 6865, Coulterville, IL, Sprinkler Fitters Local 669 and the Sparta Eagles, Sparta, IL. He enjoyed gardening, watching baseball and NASCAR on TV and going to casinos. He is survived by his special friend: Josephine Price of Coulterville, one step-son: George Cook, one step daughter: Phyllis Cook, IL, five nieces and nephews: Gordon, Heidi, David, Ronald and Denise, several aunts and uncles and many cousins. He was preceded by his parents and one brother: Gilford Leming. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Wilbur Franklin officiating. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Coulterville City Cemetery.
