Danny (Dano) A. Young's Obituary
Danny A. (Dano) Young, age 42, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 6:00 a.m. at his home. Dano was born on November 5, 1967 in Murphysboro, IL, a son to Roger Voyles and Sharon Terry. He married Edna M. Cole on September 16, 2005 in DuQuoin, IL and she survives. Dano was of the Baptist faith and was employed at Copper B Line as an operator. He was a veteran of the United States Army Reserves and a member of the Steel Workers Union. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, all kinds of music, including classic rock, country and contemporary, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan. He is survived by his parents; wife; three sons, Danny A. Young, Jr. and Adam M. Young, both of Pinckneyville, IL, and Travis (Olivia) Engelage of Sparta, IL; two daughters, Charity Engelage of DuQuoin, IL and Kerri Engelage of Coulterville, IL; one brother, Terry Young of Canton, GA; four sisters, Donna Vest of Villa Ridge, MO, Kay (Jeff) Gieselmann, Tammy (Kent) Norris, and Tracy Mapps (Fiancee, Kevin Hood) all of DuQuoin, IL; seven grandchildren, Chase Young, Steven and Mathew Salzwedel, Taylor Smith, Hayden and Emilia Engelage and Dominic Engelage; seven nieces and nephews, Zachery, Heather, Arika, Haylee, Ashley, Austin and Keith. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Mikie Salzwedel; one granddaughter; Sadie Martin, grandparents, Frank and Gen Terry; great-grandparents, Oscar and Arevena White; and two uncles, David Terry and Bruce Terry. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Gary Pruitt officiating. Dano's wishes were to be cremated. Burial will be private and held at a later date. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to his wife, Edna Young.
