Dale Carns' Obituary
Dale Carns, age 67, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 3:38 p.m. in his home surrounded by his family.
Dale was born on July 13, 1953 in Belleville, IL, a son to Vernon Leslie "Bud" and Edith (Henson) Carns. On August 26, 1972, he married Kathy Jean Dintelman in Sparta, IL and she survives. Dale had worked for the Randolph County Road District for 41 years and was a lifetime member of Masonic Lodge, Sparta, IL. He loved fishing, hunting, talking to friends and neighbors, mowing grass, and spending time with his family and friends, especially riding his scooter with his daughter, Jamie Carns.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Kathy Carns of Coulterville, IL; a daughter, Jamie Lynn Carns of Coulterville, IL; mother-in-law, Lorene Dintelman of Coulterville, IL; a brother-in-law, Denny (Pat) Dintelman of Coulterville, IL; three sisters-in-law, Gail (Roger) Allen of Coulterville, IL, Julie (Jodi) Hofmeister of Coulterville, IL and Sandy Lintker of Coulterville, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Melvin Dintelman; and one nephew, Dustin Woodside.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Ron Mazander officiating. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL.
Visitation will be at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Due to the Covid-19 virus, social distancing will be enforced and all attendees are asked to wear a mask.
Memorial donations may be made to the Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma on behalf of Dale's beloved great-nephew, Everett Gay.
