Cynthia Jean Cluck's Obituary
Cynthia Jean Cluck, age 68, of Herrin, IL, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 12:05 a.m. in her home.
Cynthia was born May 21, 1954 in DuQuoin, IL, a daughter to Daniel and Gladys (Campbell) Mathis. On November 4, 1988, she married Mike Cluck and he survives. She worked as a dispatcher for B.F.I. Cynthia was a member of Hurricane Memorial Baptist Church, Herrin, IL where she was the music director and taught bible school. She loved to sew, sing, bake, especially egg cookies, and decorate her house for Christmas. Cynthia also loved to cheer her grandkids on from the stands(very loudly).
Survivors include her husband, Mike Cluck of Herrin IL; two sons, David Helvey of Pinckneyville, IL, and Dustin Cluck of Carbondale, IL; two daughters, Kristin Harris of Carterville, IL, and Jeanna (Aaron) Deaton of Herrin, IL; two sisters, Nora Beth (Larry) Helvey of Pinckneyville, IL and Susan (Ted) Knapp of Mt. Vernon, IL; and eight grandchildren, Landon, Emma, Aidan, Regan, Ashlyn, Austin, Braelyn, and McKenna.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Rhonda Helvey; one brother, Daniel Mark Mathis; and one sister, Linda Ellen Petty.
Funeral service will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
