Cordelia L. "Dinx" Malott's Obituary
Cordelia L. "Dinx" Malott, age 83, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 5:05 a.m. in Washington County Hospital, Nashville, IL. Dinx was born on March 14, 1929 in Lenzburg, IL, a daughter to Henry G. and Frieda W. (Muench) Schneider. On August 18, 1964, she married Ewart Malott in Belleville, IL and he preceded her in death on March 18, 2002. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Sparta, IL, worked as a teller for the First National Bank of Coulterville for 27 years and served on the Coulterville Public Library board for over 40 years. Dinx enjoyed sewing, quilting, tending to her flowers and dearly loved spending time with her family. Dinx is survived by one stepson, Richard (Carol) Malott of Coulterville, IL; three brothers, John (Helen) Schneider of Smithton, IL, Henry (Violet) Schneider of Collinsville, IL, and Joseph (Doris) Schneider of Des Moines, IA; one sister, Edna Loesche of Freeburg, IL; five step grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; fifteen nephews; and five nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a stepson, Raymond Malott; two sisters, Marie Kuess and one in infancy; two brothers, George Schneider and Edward Schneider; and one sister-in-law, Sylvia Schneider. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Bruce Cameron offciating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Bethel Cemetery Association, Swanwick, IL.
