Constance Letitia Krisher's Obituary
Constance Letitia Krisher, age 91, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 2:04 p.m. in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation, Pinckneyville, IL.
Constance was born on August 30, 1928 in McCurtain, OK, a daughter to Edward Joseph and Margaret Arvilla (Dobson) Sweeney. On December 13, 1947, she married August "Gus" Krisher in McCurtain, OK. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2016 after 68 years of marriage. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Paris, IL and attended St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Constance was the quintessential homemaker. She excelled at baking and cooking, cleaning, gardening, sewing and taking care of her family and especially her grandchildren. Occasionally, she worked outside of the home including making her famous pies for a local restaurant.
Survivors include her two sons, Joe (Donna) Krisher of Mascoutah, IL and Alex (Susan) Krisher of Bowling Green, KY; two daughters, Maggie (Carrol) Adcock of Pinckneyville, IL and Lisa (John) Tallman of Stillman Valley, IL; her Irish twin brother, Father Ed Sweeney; thirteen grandchildren, Michael, Jason, Matt, Angie, Chris, Mary, Sarah, Dan, Jo, Alexandra, Will, John and Joseph; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and eleven brothers and sisters.
Visitation and funeral services will be private.
Due to health concerns related to the Covid-19 virus and by the signing of executive order by Governor J.B. Pritzker, attendance will be limited and social distancing will be enforced.
