Concordia Caupert's Obituary
Concordia Caupert, age 100, of rural Cutler, IL, died Sunday, September 3, 2006 at 3:31 a.m. in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital. Concordia was born in Pinckneyville on January 29, 1906, a daughter of John and Mathilda (Pick) Beck. She married Alfred Caupert on May 2, 1926 at Lost Prairie Church, rural Pinckneyville. In 1950 she and her husband moved to Baldwin IL and lived there on a farm until 1986 when they moved back to Perry County on September 20, 1986. Alfred passed away on December 30, 1986. She was very active in her church while living in Baldwin, IL, cooked for the Sparta Lion's Club for many years, and was most recently a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Conant, IL. Survivors include twin daughters: Flossine Schrader, and her husband, Edwin, of rural Cutler, Irene Wirsing of Ballwin, MO, five grandchildren: Kathleen Gidlow, and her husband, James, of Brandon, FL, Carol Schrader of Festus, MO, Phyllis Schilling, and her husband, Kenneth, of Longwood, FL, Clifford Schrader of Cutler, Ralph Schrader, and his wife, Debbie, of Highland, IL, six great-grandchildren: Ryan Bolte, Mark Schilling, Timothy Schilling, Denise Johnson, Caleb Schrader, Season Schrader, two great-great-grandchildren, one sister: Onita Lile of Webster Groves, MO, along with many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters: Erna Vaninger and Velma Scherer, and a brother: Alfred Beck. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Conant, with Pastor Jon Smithley officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Monday from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. then at the church from 12:30 p.m. till time of services. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery or the donor's choice.
