Coletta Zee Degenhardt's Obituary
Coletta Zee Degenhardt, age 80, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away at 1:15 a.m., on Monday, October 7, 2024, in Pinckneyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Pinckneyville, IL.
Coletta was born July 24, 1944 in DuQuoin, IL, a daughter to Leland and Mary (Poiter) Fisher. In October of 1960, she married Felix Bolinski in St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL, and was married for about 15 years. She later married Tommy Lynn Jeter and they were also married for about 15 years. On November 20, 1993, Coletta married David "Herb" Degenhardt in Gatlinburg, TN, and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2011. She worked for a time at the dress factory in Pinckneyville, IL. Coletta was a stay-at-home mom, and ran a daycare, where she raised numerous children so their parents could work. Coletta was a member at St. Bruno Catholic Church. She enjoyed dancing, long walks, decorating for the holidays, quilting, embroidering, sewing, and taking pictures. Her passion in life was her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include a son, Richard Bolinski of Phoenix, AZ; one daughter, Rebecca "Becky" (Michael) Tiehes of Perryville, MO; one step-son, David J. (Sandy) Degenhardt of Murphysboro, IL; one step-daughter, Annette (Mike) Rodgers of Pinckneyville, IL; one sister, Shelby (Lyle) Sizemore of Sunfield, IL; brother, Delbert Fisher of DuQuoin, IL; four grandchildren, Tristan, Isabella, Reagan, and Mirra Pingel; niece, Lacie Harris and Tim Hawkins of St. Louis, MO; best friends and caregivers, Jim and Doris Beaty.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeffrey Bolinski; two sisters, Glenna D. Blythe and Delores Huggins; a brother, Donald Fisher; one brother-in-law, Roy D. Blythe; and one nephew, Robert Curry.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., with Monsignor Thomas Flach officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Visitation will be at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., a rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Perry - Jackson Child Advocacy Center, Pinckneyville, IL.
