Clyde "Hickory" Frederking's Obituary
Clyde "Hickory" Frederking, age 78, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020 at 8:35 a.m. in his sister's home.
Hickory was born on March 14, 1942 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to William F. "Bill" and Lillian Mae (Offerman) Frederking. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force having obtained the rank of Airman First Class and serving in the Turkish Conflict. On November 22, 1962, he married Janice Isom at Coulterville United Methodist Church, Coulterville, IL and she preceded him in death on April 5, 2016. Hickory had worked as an Ironworker for Local #392 for 54 years and was of the Baptist faith. He had been a member of the Coulterville V.F.W., Coulterville Fire Department, Coulterville School District School Board and enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his two daughters, Melanie Plasterer of Coulterville, IL and Susan Phillips of Coulterville, IL; a brother, Fred (Brenda) Frederking of Coulterville, IL; a sister, Anna Marie (Charles) Sheeler of Coulterville, IL; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeff Frederking; a grandson in infancy, Dalton Levi Frederking; and a sister, Linda Wooten.
A private family graveside service will be held at Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL with Ron Mazander officiating.

Due to health concerns related to the Covid-19 virus and by the signing of executive order by Governor J.B. Pritzker, attendance will be limited and social distancing will be enforced.
Memorial donations may be made to the Vitas Hospice, Fairview Heights, IL.
