Clifton "Deon" Tucker's Obituary
Clifton "Deon" Tucker, age 61, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009 in St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Clifton was born on September 21, 1947 in Anna, IL, a son to Clifton C. and Velma (Clardy) Tucker. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. On June 23, 1972, at Landmark Pentecostal Church in Anna, IL, he married Patricia (Thomason) and she survives. He had retired as a corrections officer from Menard Correctional Center in Chester, IL. He loved to fish and hunt, play his guitar, his church, family and friends, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his mother: Velma Tucker of Anna, IL, wife: Patricia (Thomason) Tucker of Pinckneyville, IL, two daughters: Pam Holder of Carlyle, IL, and Barb Tucker of Pinckneyville, IL, one brother: Vernon (Cindy) Tucker of Anna, IL, one sister: Darla (David) Corzine of Plano, TX, four grandchildren: Ashley Holder, Jessica Holder, Tessie Fosnock, and Zachary Tucker Allard Harms and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father: Clifton C. Tucker. Funeral services will be held at The Promise of Living Water Pentecostal Church in Red Bud, IL on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Frisbie officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at The Promise of Living Water Pentecostal Church in Red Bud, IL from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Patricia Tucker.
