Clifford W. Harrell, Sr., age 81, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 3:58 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital Emergency Room, Pinckneyville, IL. Clifford was born on June 30, 1926 in Eden, IL, a son to Elbert and Turzabelle (Shelton) Harrell. On June 29, 1946, he married Mary E. Galbraith in Pinckneyville, IL, and she preceded him in death on January 22, 1987. He worked as a Teamster having driven for Dunn Brothers for 40 years and for Perry County Redi Mix for 5 years. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, Teamsters Local #347, and loved to fish and loved his family. Survivors include a son: Clifford "Punk" W. (Pam) Harrell, Jr. of DuQuoin, IL, a daughter-in-law: Eva (Joe) Hopp of Pinckneyville, a brother: Edwin (Lydia) Harrell of DuQuoin, IL, special friend: Dorothy Collins of DuQuoin, IL, nine grandchildren: Kim Borowiak, Tina Huge, Stacy Hirsch, Dawn Heumann, Cheryl Tregoning, Trisha Brock, Jason Houghland, Leah Hopp, and Mason Hopp, and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son: Jack Houghland, eight sisters, and seven brothers. Funeral services will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. then at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Oak Grove Mission Funds.
