Clement Dean Campbell's Obituary
Clement Dean Campbell, age 95, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 9:20 p.m. in the Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pinckneyville, IL.
Dean was born on December 26, 1922 in Pinckneyville, Il, a son to Benjamin "Ward" and Clementine (Weihn) Campbell. On February 6, 1944, he married Dorris Mae Reidelberger in Pinckneyville, IL and she preceded him in death on February 5, 2004. Dean was a veteran in the United States Army Air Corp having served during WWII. He was a carpenter and a miner for fifteen years at Consolidated Coal Company. Dean was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, IL, Daffron-Presswood American Legion Post #2504, Pinckneyville, IL, UMWA and served on the 204 school board. He loved duck hunting, wood working, and camping and trailering with his wife. Dean and his wife enjoyed wintering in Biloxi, MS, near their first home at Keesler Air Force Base.
Survivors include three sons, Jim (Lindell) Campbell of Pinckneyville, IL, Jo (Becky) Campbell of Albers, IL and John (Londa) Campbell of Pinckneyville, IL; eight grandchildren, Erinn (Aaron) Albers, Ben (Veronica) Campbell, Sam Campbell, Joey (Rowena) Campbell, Jamie (Sherard) Poteete , Jeff (Rachel) Campbell, Zach Campbell and Olivia (Alex) Eade; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorris; one daughter in infancy, Jayne; and one brother, Lowell Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at the First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Sam Foskey officiating. Interment will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Military rites will be performed by Daffron-Presswood American Legion Post #2504, Pinckneyville, IL.
Friends may call at the First United Presbyterian Church on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
