Clarence E. Heggemeier's Obituary
Clarence Heggemeier, age 90, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2008 in Three Springs Lodge, Chester, IL. Clarence was born on September 19, 1917 in Swanwick, IL, a son to Daniel and Minnerva (Klingenberg) Heggemeier. He married Dorothy Talmadge on January 30, 1941 in Cape Girardeau and she passed away on July 2, 1973. On May 26, 1976, he married Viola Wood in DuQuoin, IL and she passed away on February 3, 2005. Clarence owned and operated his own trucking company and was a former member of the Eagles. He is survived by two sons: Cecil Edward (Fran) Heggemeier of Steeleville, IL and Danny Roy Heggemeier of Umatilla, FL, two daughters: Judy Ann (Ronald) Roberts of Kamas, UT and Cheryl Ann Heggemeier of Umatilla, FL, one sister: Mabel Linder of Centralia, IL, two grandchildren: Robert and Michael Lewis, four great-grandchildren: Samantha, Laurie, Claire and Ethan, and one great-great grandchild: Tayslie. He was preceded by his parents, both wives, one daughter: Joyce Irene Heggemeier and three brothers: Raymond, Elmer and Melvin Heggemeier. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2008 with Reverend Tim McIntyre officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
