Clara L. Toler's Obituary
Clara L. Toler, age 73, of Columbia, MO, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at 8:05 a.m. in the Boone Hospital Center, Columbia, MO. Clara was born on October 25, 1932 in Cairo, IL a daughter to William and Irene (Hendrick) Hodge. She married James W. Toler on September 3, 1951 in Paragould, AR and he survives. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, a salesperson and bookkeeper at the former Rhodes-Burford Furniture Store, Pinckneyville, for seventeen years, a homemaker, and a member of the Disabled American Veteran's Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband: Jim of Columbia, MO, two daughters: Cheri and Scott Malinski of Fulton, MO, Janet Downen of Stover, MO, one son: James Toler, Jr. of CA, two brothers: John and Tina Hodge of Shorewood, IL, Frank and Kathleen Hodge of Dayton, NV, a sister Gloria Arnold of Milwaukee, WS, seven grandchildren: Shawn Toler, Alicia (Downen) Ecton, Cara Downen, Chelsea Malinski, Nathaniel Malinski, Garrett Malinski, Emily Malinski, three great-grandchildren: Hailey Toler, Andrew Larkin Toler, and Hayley Ecton, along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: William Hodge, Jr. and Robert Hodge, and one sister: Billie DeBoe. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, with Rev. Charles Boling officiating. Interment will be in the Busby Cemetery, Goreville. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Friday, July 28, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, July 30, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. then at the church from 12:00 p.m. till services.
