Clara B. Goldman's Obituary
Clara B. Goldman, age 84, of rural Tamaroa, passed away with family at her side on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at 5:40 a.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital. Clara was born on April 9, 1922 in Pinckneyville, a daughter to Chris James and Clara (Gass) Nehrkorn. She married Louis Charles Goldman on May 6, 1941 in Pinckneyville and he preceded her in death on November 21, 1992. She was a member of Nine Mile Baptist Church. She enjoyed her grandchild, great-grandchildren and cooking. Survivors include two sons: Carl and Vickie Goldman, and Larry and Sherry Goldman, all of Pinckneyville, two daughters: Doris and Ronnie Tanner of Pinckneyville, and Betty and John Whitson of Auburn, IL, three brothers: Gene and Glenna Nehrkorn of Pinckneyville, George and Melba Nehrkorn of Pinckneyville, Bill and JoAnn Nehrkorn of Tamaroa, two sisters: Myrtle McElroy and Wanda Miller, all of Pinckneyville, one sister-in-law: Mildred Nehrkorn of Pinckneyville, ten grandchildren: Carole and Pete Bednarz of Nashville, IL, Steve and Dawn Tanner of Pinckneyville, Lisa and David Leehy of Glen Carbon, IL, Tami and Dominic Saebeler of Springfield, Alison and Chuck Jackson of Waverly, IL, Shelly and Adam Wright of Staunton, IL, Kevin and Christy Goldman of Pinckneyville, Mike Goldman and friend, Lee Smith of DuQuoin, Mark and Valerie Goldman of Carlyle, IL and Amber and Brian Kozuszek of Pinckneyville, seventeen great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson: Greg Whitson, two brothers: Paul Nehrkorn and Robert Nehrkorn, and two brothers-in-law: Dale McElroy and Kenneth Miller. Funeral services will be held in Nine Mile Baptist Church on Friday, January 26, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Mark Goldman and Brother Raymond Baggot officiating. Interment will be in Campbell Cemetery, Pinckneyville. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m., on Friday from 8:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. and then at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services. Memorial donations may be made to the Greg Whitson Memorial Fund.
