Christopher Paul Tabing's Obituary
Christopher Paul Tabing, age 72, of Perryville, MO, formerly of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 9:25 p.m. in SIH Memorial Hospital Carbondale, Carbondale, IL.
Chris was born on March 12, 1950 in Sparta, IL, a son to Charles "Tip" and Helen (Schmidt) Tabing. Chris was a 1968 graduate of Coulterville High School, graduate of Bradley University and Southern Illinois University, where he graduated with a law degree. He practiced law in Illinois as a black lung attorney and in Arizona, working for the state of Arizona. He was a member of New Hope Assembly of God Church, Perryville, MO.
Survivors include his daughter, Stacy (Doug) Campbell of Phoenix, AZ; two brothers, Richard (Anne) Tabing of Cutler, IL and Doyce (Cyndy) Tabing of Coulterville, IL; two grandsons, Kelvin and Harrison Campbell of Phoenix, AZ; two uncles, Ray Schmidt of Eagle River, WI and Teddy Schmidt of Rockford, IL; an aunt, Barbara Stadler of Eagle River, WI; a cousin, Bob Kretschmer of Steeleville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an aunt, Fay Stewart; and a cousin, Launa McClaine.
Chris will be cremated and a private graveside memorial service will be held.
Memorial donations may be made to the New Hope Assembly of God Church, Perryville, MO.
