Christopher Blade "Chris" Liter's Obituary
Christopher Blade "Chris" Liter, age 23, of Steeleville, IL, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 7:04 p.m. in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Chris was born on August 26, 1992 in Nashville, IL, a son to Mikeal and Rebecca (Lawless) Liter. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Sparta, IL and worked as a laborer. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, hunting playing with his children and his nieces and nephews and loved to make people laugh. Chris was a very giving and faithful friend. Survivors include his fiance, Bethany Moore of Steeleville, IL; mother, Rebecca Copple (Gary Ferrari) of Pinckneyville, IL; father, Mikeal Liter (Sabrina Saunders) of Dupo, IL; maternal grandparents, Leonard and Margetta Lawless, Jr. of Swanwick, IL; paternal grandmother, Gloria Liter of Coulterville, IL; a son, Cobie Moore of Steeleville, IL; a daughter, Khloe Liter of Pinckneyville, IL; three brothers, Aaron (Michelle) Liter of Steeleville, IL, Brandon Copple of Steeleville, IL and Samuel Liter of Dupo, IL; five sisters, Emily Copple of Steeleville, IL, Lacy Saunders-Robertson of Dupo, IL; Paige Funke of Dupo, IL; Latisha Copple of Mascoutah, IL and Kelly Copple of Murphysboro, IL; and nine nieces and nephews, Emilia Robertson, Mitchell Liter, Jackson Liter, Joey Copple, Quintin Durham, Dazi Copple, Dona Copple, Sheleby Copple and Jacque Durham. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Wayne Liter. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Tom Foster officiating. Interment will be in Swanwick Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to a trust for Khloe Liter.
