Chris Lively's Obituary
Chris Lively, age 67, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 4:40 p.m., Barnes - Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO, surrounded by her family.
Chris was born on October 21, 1956 in Centralia, IL, a daughter of Darlen Miller raised by John & Janice (Miller) Stroehlein. On February 15, 2002, she married Thomas Lively in Pinckneyville, IL and he survives. She worked for several years, as a factory worker at Republic of Tea and Deca Records. Chris enjoyed cooking for her family, and watching her soaps especially The Young and the Restless and the Bold and the Beautiful. Her passion was taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Lively of Pinckneyville, IL; two daughters, Sherry Quillman of Oakdale, IL, and Rachel (Marcus) Larkin of Killeen, TX; two brothers, John Dale Stroehlein of Pinckneyville, IL, and Louie Stroehlein of Pinckneyville, IL; two sisters, Wanda Nolte of Oden, IL, and Laura (Matt) Gnutek of South Elgin, IL; eleven grandchildren; Austin (Anastasia) Gant of Colorado Springs, CO, Dalton Gant of Pinckneyville, IL, Faleshia Quillman Of Pinckneyville, IL, Parker Quillman Of Killeen, TX, Syreeta Larkin of Killeen, TX, Thomas Larkin of Killeen, TX, Jaina Larkin of Killeen, TX, Shaylin McBride Of Pinckneyville, IL, Aubree Quillman of Pinckneyville, IL, McKenzie Quillman of Pinckneyville, IL, and Paisleigh Quillman of Pinckneyville, IL; two great grandchildren, Lorenzo Monroe of Pinckneyville, IL, and Sonjay Monroe of Pinckneyville, IL; two beautiful huskies, Sebastian and Snowflake; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Stroehlein, Janice Stroehlein and biological mother, Darlene Miller.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
It was Chris' wishes to be cremated and a celebration of life will be at a later date.
