Chetlene Ruth Calder's Obituary
Chetlene Ruth Calder, age 69, of Tamaroa, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 2:39 p.m., at her home.
She was born on December 28, 1955, in Sault Ste Marie, MI, a daughter to William Walace and Velma Ruth (Bently) Hoch. She married Jim Calder in New Hampshire and he later passed. Chetlene had worked as a factory worker in New Hampshire and enjoyed gardening and raising finches. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, Pinckneyville, IL.
Survivors include a daughter, Tracie Ann Castleberry of Pinckneyville, IL; a brother, William Hoch of Tamaroa, IL; two sisters, Cheri Zeillinski of Michigan and Roberta Irene LaCross of Michigan; six grandchildren, Vanessa Ortagea, Karla Ortagea, Joey Gibson, Timmy Castleberry, Tamara Castleberry, and Eva Castleberry; two great-grandchildren, Toby Castleberry and Blaze Ortagea; a dear friend, Marie; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Stacie Castleberry.
A celebration of life will be held on December 28, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., at 6597 State Route 154, Tamaroa, IL 62888.
