Charlotte Carter's Obituary
Charlotte Carter, age 82, Of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 5:35 a.m. in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation, Pinckneyville, IL.
Charlotte was born on October 2, 1939 in DuQuoin, IL, a daughter to Albert and Rose (Seibert) Poiter. On September 21, 1956, she married Noah Wayne Carter in DuQuoin, IL and he preceded her in death on September 20, 2015. Charlotte was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, Sunshine Circle at the church and was a homemaker. She loved playing golf, spending time with her family, especially going to her grandchildren sporting events.
Survivors include her four children, Aaron (Karen ) Carter of Pinckneyville, IL, Cindy (Aaron) Konkel) of Coulterville, IL, Kathy (Roger) Hagene of Pinckneyville, IL and Karen (Shane) Winter of Pinckneyville, IL; eleven grandchildren, Kevin (Angie) Schrader, Natalie (Dan) Stine, Nathan Hagene, Brooke (Andy) Burroughs, Jared (Kristina) Hagene, Josh (Chelsie) Hagene, Lyle (Emmalee) Winter, Lauren (Dax) Piper, Lindsey (Hunter) Queen, Lucas (Shaylie) Carter, and Noah Carter; fifteen great-grandchildren and one on the way; and two brothers, R. Dale Poiter of Carbondale, IL, and Maurice (Sheila) Poiter of Granite City, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one niece, Peggy Dooley; one son-in-law, Randy Schrader; and one sister-in-law, Margie Poiter.
Memorial services will be held at First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Don Meeks officiating.
Visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to The American Parkinson's Disease Association.
Due to Covid-19 virus, all mandates and regulations will be enforced.
