Charlie Ray Carle's Obituary
Charlie Ray Carle, age 69, of Marissa, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 9:59 a.m. in Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, IL.
Charlie was born on December 16, 1950 in Belleville, IL, a son to Roy R. and Dorothy A. (McConnell) Carle. He worked as a correctional officer for 15 years at Menard Correctional Center, Chester, IL. He was a member of the Eagles, Sparta, IL, where he enjoyed playing in the pool league. Charlie was an avid fisherman and he often participated in the Ambassador Fishing Tournament. He also enjoyed playing cards at Hunter's Hideout.
Survivors include his son, Charles J. Carle of Zephyrhills, FL; two daughters, Sheri Broshears (Cory Willoughby) of Marissa, IL and Amy Carle of Marissa, IL; a brother, Ed (Debbie) Carle of Zephyrhills, FL; three sisters, Vicki L. Kirkpatrick of Tilden, IL, Brenda Juenger of Belleville, IL, and Candi (Kenny) Hamm of Loranger, LA; a sister-in-law, Donna Carle of Mountain Home, ID; seven grandchildren, Johnathan Broshears, Zoeey Broshears, Jackson Willoughby, Kara Mulholland, Elijah Carle, Aria Carle, and Mia Carle; and a good friend to the family, Chloe Gower of Tilden, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Thomas Carle and Richard Carle; and a niece, Kassidy N. Hamm.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Monday, March 2, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
