Charles William "Charlie" Watts' Obituary
Charles William "Charlie" Watts, age 77, of Steeleville, IL, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 6:35 p.m. in his home. Charlie was born on October 31, 1938 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Berthel R. and Verga Pauline (Gregory) Watts. He was married to Phyllis J. Marlow and Nancy M. Eichenseer. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. In his youth he attended nine Mile Baptist Church. He worked as a coal miner, and had also been in sales with the Eastman Kodak Company, Charlie also owned Panther Creek Productions doing business as Scrubs and More in Steeleville and was a member of the Steeleville Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. Survivors include his long time companion, Tina Myers of Steeleville, IL; one son, Bert Gregory (Liz) Watts of Belleville, IL; one daughter, Jennifer Dawn Haywood of Oxford, IA; two grandsons, Benjamin Gregory Watts and Sammy Gregory Watts. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Dolores Sergent. Charlie's wishes were to be cremated with no services. Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
