Charles "Chuck" Gladson's Obituary
Charles "Chuck” Gladson, age 89, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Chesterfield, MO.
Chuck was born on September 19, 1936, in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to William Eugene and Jenny L. (Craig) Gladson. On April 30, 1960, he married Margaret Lynn Hobbs at the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Chuck worked for Caterpillar for 45 years, with the last chapter of his career working for Caterpillar in Brazil. Chuck attended the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Sunset Hill Country Club, Pekin, IL.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Margaret Lynn Gladson of Ballwin, MO; his daughter, Lynn Beth (Ron Jr.) Nosal of Wildwood, MO; two grandchildren, Danielle Nosal of Lake St. Louis, MO and Charles Nosal of Baltimore, MD; and many dear nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Craig Gladson, Frank E. Gladson, and William R. “Bill” Gladson; and three sisters, Norma VanZandt, Ruth E. Winthrop, and Sarah Williams.
Graveside services will be held at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, First United Methodist Church, or Alzheimer’s Association.
