Cecelia M. Wegner's Obituary
Cecelia M. Wegner, age 95, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 4:10 a.m. in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehab, Pinckneyville, IL after a brief illness. Cecelia was born on September 11, 1921 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to William H. and Catherine Ann (Matychowiak) Kellerman. On October 14, 1942, she married Marvin W. Wegner in Sacred Heart Church, New York City, NY and he preceded her in death on August 26, 1972. She was a lifelong member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL and a member of Church Women United. She had worked as a clerk and office deputy at the courthouse for the Perry County Sheriff's Office. Cecelia was very interested in and involved with politics, was an avid gardener in her yard and with flowers and loved to read. Her family was her main focus in life and she was a tremendous support to her children and grandchildren and always very involved with them. Survivors include her two sons, Mark Wegner of DuQuoin, IL and Matthew Wegner of California; two daughters, Judy (Dennis) Krumholz of Morton, IL and Pat (Kent) Ragland of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Jeff Krumholz of Columbus, OH, Kelley Ragland of New York City, NY, Kyle Ragland of Greeley, CO and Jennifer Murray of Lake Villa, IL; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter in infancy. Funeral services will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Augustine Ibezimako officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of arrangements.
